ENGLISH VERSION :

Fifteen days have passed since my last post and to be honest, I really missed writing on the blog. But this year was far from being like the others for the good and simple reason that the person in charge of the Christmas Eve festivities was me.

So the pressure (that I had put on myself) was at its peak and like any self-respecting control freak, I left NOTHING to chance. On the menu: seafood and foie gras as a starter (graciously brought by my parents) and to make it all go down, a capon stuffed with dried fruits by myself, the inevitable truffle purée, some green beans to pretend to have a balanced meal and to finish, the homemade log.
As you can see, the program was full. I don’t have the time to write a detailed article about these delicious recipes, but I wanted to take a few pictures of the table and the decorations to give you an idea of the whole and of my enthusiasm to receive my friends and family for this celebration that I particularly like.
The watchword for me was to limit waste as much as possible, especially concerning the wrapping of the gifts. That’s why I opted for fabric hoods in which I could slip my little attentions for each guest. I also recycled the dishes that I bought a few months before at Emmaüs and that I will talk about soon in a future article. And finally, reusing last year’s Christmas decorations of course.

All in all, a traditional Christmas Eve and finally, what could be better than trusting the classics.
It’s timeless and we are rarely disappointed!
