And you, what are your favorite routine ?

ENGLISH VERSION :

For a while now, I’ve been thinking about sharing with you the non-exhaustive list of things I’ve stopped doing in my “beauty” routine.

As you know, since the world began, society has imposed many forms of beauty and injunctions related to aesthetics. Like many women, I have been complying with these precepts for a long time and have carefully maintained physical complexes (totally unjustified).

Hygiene

For several years now, I have observed several changes in my routine. First of all, the desire to drastically reduce the products in my bathroom and, by extension, those I put on my skin. Between shower gels, oils and cream soaps, I had to admit that my amount of waste was colossal. So for the past 2 years, I have opted for a much simpler routine. Every summer, I go to the South-East and take advantage of the market to stock up on artisanal soaps. Donkey’s milk or goat’s milk, this natural 2 in 1 product is perfect for the face as well as for the body.

The same goes for my hair, I gave up using bottled shampoos several months ago. I love these solid products from Dop, which I mentioned in a previous article. No need for products stuffed with silicone, they leave my hair clean and thick as desired!

Hydration

No need for hundreds of different products (even if it looks good on video on Insta). As a famous youtuber said: “I only have one face” and I would even add “not enough of a lifetime to test everything that cosmetology offers us all year long”. In short, a serum and a cream are more than enough to effectively moisturize my skin. In the summer, I alternate with an aloe vera gel from Aroma Zone to avoid an oily finish on my face during the heat. I also use it as an after-sun treatment and it perfectly cares for superficial burns.

Makeup

Finally, same thing for makeup. I’ve overdosed on seeing all these reviews on Youtube and the rate at which brands send out their press packages. Discouraged by the mountains of garbage that this has generated for so many years where decadence was the norm. And even though I still have an unconditional love for lipsticks, I made sure to eradicate foundations and other BB creams in order to limit my “beauty” products to a few essentials. A short list that can be summarized as: mascara, liner, blush and terracotta.

Coloring

The biggest change I’ve made in the last few years is without a doubt my hair coloring routine. After sharing my hair evolution with you, I made the decision to stop coloring for good and to let my first white hair take over. Even if I sometimes feel like I’m going against the grain, especially when I talk about it with women, I never lose sight of the fact that it’s only hair, that it’s my head and that I can do whatever I want with it!

Hair removal

Speaking of hair, I couldn’t conclude this article without talking about this terrible but no less fascinating subject that targets half of our society: hair removal. For a little less than a year now, I’ve made the decision to stop plucking my eyebrows – at least excessively. I take care of them in the middle (because I don’t pretend to want to look like Frida Kahlo) but for the rest, my tweezers stay away. And, I must admit, I found that the less I plucked my eyebrows, the less they grew back. So if I can give you one piece of advice: leave each other alone and your hairs will be well kept!

And you, what is your favorite cream of the moment?

ENGLISH VERSION :

I already told you a few words about it last Sunday but I had to come back to this moisturizing jewel that has been with me for several months now.

Indeed, after having made infidelities to try organic creams, I finally chose to return to my love of yesteryear, my beloved Crème Fraîche de Beauté from Nuxe.

I had once set my sights on this product, but being a budget girl, I had reluctantly opted for budget brands to keep my hydration without running dry.

After (finally) running out of stock, I once again turned to Nuxe to find this creamy texture and sweet orange blossom scent. A sensory delight for both the skin and the sinuses!

The 50ml jar is perfect for everyday use as well as for travel, and has allowed me to maintain my morning and evening routine for about two months. Combined with an anti-aging serum before bed, this cream keeps my skin moisturized every day without redness or irritation.

All in all, this product is a real rediscovery that I can’t wait to buy again this month before moving on to my summer routine, which I will also be sharing with you very soon!

BEAUTY GREEN ROUTINES TRENDS

And you, what is your daily routine?

ENGLISH VERSION :

I’ve been eyeing the cosmetics brand Ilia Beauty for several years now. An American-Canadian brand widely acclaimed by blogging darlings such as Julia Berolzheimer, Emily Godoy, Ashley Brooke or Jenny Cipoletti.

After seeing a lot of reviews and tutorials on the networks, I tried to get some of the best products of the line. Unavailable in most of the franchises, it’s while strolling in the Sephora on the Champs Élysées that I managed to get my hands on what has now joined the small list of my beauty essentials.

I started by buying the Limitless Lash Mascara, a mascara with a stiff brush that allows a subtle and defined application on the lashes by more or less long spikes on each side. The product is distributed evenly for a perfectly natural look.

I also, for this first purchase, threw my heart on a lip product. You know my love for well-designed retro mouths, but for this first attempt, I first opted for a Color Block Lipstick in Wild Rose shade, a very creamy and moisturizing lipstick.

After this first try, I went back to the brand with the desire to discover more. So I varied the pleasures with a new eye product with the Fullest Volumizing Mascara, accompanied by the Color Block Lipstick Tango to try a more vibrant look and a little less wise than the previous one.

No surprise, the quality is there. Impeccable application and long-lasting wear, even after a long lunch at a restaurant, leaving a dewy finish even at the end of the day. The whole including ingredients such as wax, oil, jojoba or cocoa. In short, a rather green composition, so what more could you ask for!

BEAUTY GREEN ROUTINES TRENDS

And you, what is your skincare and moisturizing routine?

ENGLISH VERSION :

I’ve been thinking about doing an updated article on my skin care and moisturizing routine for a while now, but I was waiting to find products that fit me perfectly before publishing it. It’s now done and with a list thought as minimalist as possible to continue to limit the waste in my bathroom.

FOR THE EVENING:

I’ve been using Christan Lénart products in my day and night routine for (many) years now. I have tried many makeup removers and I must say that this Micellar Water is without comparison my favorite.

I use it before the shower when I need to remove my makeup. I put some on a reusable cotton pad and gently wipe it all over my face to remove all traces of makeup.

Once this step is over, I go to the shower and clean my face with a special sponge and a donkey or goat milk soap (depending on what’s left in my cupboards). Note that this same soap is also used for the rest of my shower.

I dry my skin and then moisturize with Nuxe’s Crème Fraîche de Beauté, which I replace once a week with Aroma Zone’s Bakuchiol Oil. Ideal to prepare the skin for the signs of ageing and to recover a skin worthy of a pair of baby’s buttocks.

FOR THE DAY:

I always remain faithful to Christian Lénart and his Cornflower Water which accompanies me
every morning to decongest my eyes with a dry glove to remove the excess. I use a small bottle with a spray nozzle for an even distribution over my entire face before moving on to moisturizing with, alternately, a 10% Niacinamide Serum with Copper and Zinc or a Concentrated Hyaluronic Acid Serum, from Aroma Zone.

Once the day is over, I do it again with this simplified routine to prepare my skin for a rich hydration and a good night’s sleep on top!

BEAUTY GREEN TRENDS

And you, have you ever tried solid shampoo?

ENGLISH VERSION :

I’ve been thinking about it for a while without really knowing which brand to turn to but for a few months now, these little wonders from DOP have delighted my scalp! Indeed, as you may have guessed from the title (or not) I started using solid shampoos and frankly, it was a great discovery!

Always wishing to limit my daily waste and especially in my bathroom, I was looking for an effective product, which does not turn my hair into horse hair and which has a minimal impact on the environment.

With their cardboard packaging, no plastic and no instructions, I was immediately seduced by the simplicity of the packaging. Simple, effective, reduced to the essentials.

But the deciding factor was my lover. With his very curly hair, there was no question of using a drying product, even if it was based on reconditioned seaweed or some other “green” ingredient. And I must say that the result is convincing!

The advantage with these little shampoos is that there are some for all scents and for all hair types. The finish is not too drying and leaves a real clean feeling once out of the shower.

And the best part: you can hang them in your shower. But if you want to preserve them even longer, my little tip is to keep them in a glass tupperware and take them out every time you shampoo. They will easily last you two to three months with two uses per week.

And you, did you enjoy the spring sales?

ENGLISH VERSION :

It had been a while since I had cracked my thong while shopping and I must say that, for this time, it made me a crazy good! I’ve been trying desperately for months to clean out my closets, but I finally gave in to temptation this weekend.

I started my tour at Action. If you’ve been reading the blog for a while, you know that this little escapade in the land of ultra discount is not a first (discover it right here). I have however for this time being more than reasonable. I fell for this charming little rattan table for the modest sum of 27 euros. And the rest are repeats of what I usually buy: face masks and a new towel for the hair, very practical when you want to dry your mane while leaving a moisturizing mask to overcome the Sunday night blues “in cocooning mode”.

Always trying to stay reasonable, I still took a look at the labels and tried to find some good deals. And it wasn’t too hard to stick with it…

Without having any idea, even though I subscribe to their newsletter that – like all newlsetters – I never read, I went to Marques Avenue on the Ile-Saint-Denis where I discovered with an undisguised enthusiasm that this weekend was the 3J of the Galeries Lafayettes and that obviously, this brand was not the only one to offer unbeatable prices.

Always trying to stay reasonable, I still took a look at the labels and tried to find some good deals. And it wasn’t too hard to stick with it…

So, first, I took advantage of a 30% discount on these two items which cost me a total of 50 euros (note that the dress and the shorts were already 48 and 24 euros respectively). After I bought these two adorable pieces that, as you may have noticed, do not reflect my obsession with daisies, I went to Mango, where I hadn’t bought anything in probably two years (or more!).

Indeed, I haven’t told you about it yet on the blog, but I have almost stopped buying new clothes from fast fashion stores for quite some time now.

In order to limit my consumption and especially to reduce my impact on the environment, I now try to buy second hand clothes as often as possible.
That’s why you’ll often see in my Daily Looks outfits mostly found on Vinted.

Anyway! Coming back to our sheep, I went to Mango to look for a new pair of jeans to replace one of mine that is currently on its last legs. As I was leaving the fitting rooms, one of the saleswomen confirmed that each pair of jeans had an extra discount on the original price. So I paid 33 euros for two perfectly cut jeans!

In short, it was a beautiful morning spent shopping! I’ll take this opportunity to share my Vinted account with you in case you feel like doing some shopping yourself.

ENGLISH VERSION :

That’s it, it’s my first official one! On this eve of February 14, I’m sharing my very first “gift ideas” post for Valentine’s Day.

And yes, I’m more of a Galantine’s Day person than a Valentine’s Day person, so today I’m sharing a little help for people who are looking to please a loved one.

And for this occasion, what could be better than to offer something to wear around the neck to drop a tender kiss? Yes, I confirm, we are talking about perfume. And so that there is something for every taste (and especially for every budget) I present you my two favorite fragrances.

If you’re in the mood for an English cottage, I recommend you without hesitation the Jo Malone brand. After discovering the Cologne Poire Anglaise and Freesia in 2015, I finally decided to throw my lot in with this 50ml bottle and winter. A light and delicate fragrance, having a good hold without being heady. Note however that the budget is far from being light: count 92 euros for this bottle and 132 euros for a 100ml model.

In a more sober register – 35 euros for a 100ml bottle – I can only recommend the Osmanthus Flower perfumed water from Roger & Gallet. Discovered thanks to my grandmother, I was won over by its misty application and its fresh and airy scent will blend perfectly and subtly with your winter and summer looks.

Here are a few ideas for this upcoming February 14th. Whether you want to please a friend or a sweetheart, or why not even yourself, the main thing is that this day and all those that will follow it are in your image, sweet and fragrant.
