J’avais entendu de nombreux et excellents retours au sujet des produits The Ordinary. Il y a bientôt deux mois, j’ai décidé de me lancer et me procurer quelques best-sellers de la gamme pour les essayer à mon tour et vous en faire une revue complète et détaillée.
J’ai donc choisi d’acheter trois produits bien distincts pour avoir un aperçu global de ce que la marque proposait comme forme de soins pour la peau.
J’ai tout d’abord noté que l’Acide Azélaïc avait considérablement asséché ma peau dès la première application. Des rougeurs et zones de sécheresse sont apparues au centre de mon visage, mais également sur le front et le menton, provoquant de violentes démangeaisons au niveau de ma mâchoire. Après en avoir discuté avec des personnes ayant été conquises par ce produit, j’en suis finalement arrivée à la conclusion que cette formule convenait parfaitement aux peaux plus grasses, nécessitant sûrement une régulation de sébum.
Personnellement, au fil des années, j’ai constaté que ma peau était passée de ce stade à celui de peau plus sensible, voire même sèche durant la période hivernale. Raison pour laquelle je ne manque pas de faire régulièrement des cataplasme de crème le soir pour m’assurer que ma peau ne manque jamais d’hydratation.

Je suis ensuite passée à la crème hydratante qui, je dois l’avouer, a soulagé ma peau de toutes ces rougeurs suite à l’application du premier produit. Sans pour autant lisser le grain de ma peau de manière significative, je dois reconnaître que la texture à la fois riche et légère est un bonheur à appliquer quotidiennement !
Et pour finir, j’utilise le masque à l’Acide Salicylique que j’applique avec parcimonie et occasionnellement pour éviter de trop solliciter ma peau. Je reste encore assez mitigée sur ce dernier produit qui, pour le moment, ne m’a pas apporté de changements notables.
Pour résumer, The Ordinary est une enseigne pleine de promesses mais qui pour ma part n’a pas encore fait ses preuves… affaire à suivre !

I had heard many great reviews about The Ordinary products. Almost two months ago, I decided to take the plunge and get a few of the best-sellers from the line to try them out for myself and give you a full and detailed review.
So I chose to buy three separate products to get an overall view of what the brand was offering in terms of skin care.
I first noticed that the Azelaic Acid dried out my skin considerably after the first application. Redness and dryness appeared in the center of my face, but also on my forehead and chin, causing severe itching on my jawline. After talking to other people who had been won over by this product, I finally came to the conclusion that this formula was perfectly suited to more oily skin, which surely needs sebum regulation.
Personally, over the years, I have noticed that my skin has gone from this stage to that of more sensitive skin, even dry skin during the winter period. This is why I regularly apply a cream poultice at night to make sure my skin never lacks moisture.
So, I chose to purchase three very distinct products to get a comprehensive look at what the brand offered in the way of skin care.
I then moved on to the moisturizer, which I have to admit, relieved my skin of all that redness after applying the first product. Without smoothing the texture of my skin significantly, I must admit that the texture is both rich and light and is a joy to apply daily!
Finally, I use the Salicylic Acid mask, which I apply sparingly and occasionally to avoid overtaxing my skin. I still have mixed feelings about this last product which, for the moment, has not brought me any notable changes.
To sum up, The Ordinary is a brand full of promises but for my part, it has not yet proven itself… to be continued!
