After almost a year of absence, I finally found my beloved Normandy. At the end of last summer, my boyfriend and I had planned to go to Deauville for a weekend to take in the sea air and show him the scenery from my childhood. However, we had a lot of work and projects to manage at the same time, which, for one reason or another, slowed us down a lot in the organization of this escapade.
But know that when I have an idea in mind, I don’t have it elsewhere and that even if it took us some time, we finally got this long awaited weekend and believe me, we enjoyed it!
Between the restaurants, the walks and the evenings with friends, our schedule over two days was almost more animated than my work week… and what happiness! We walked a lot, strolled, strolled and digested because what’s the point of shopping when you can eat a burrata on a bed of pear and persimmon or poultry with Normandy sauce every day?
This stay was for me the opportunity to rediscover my childhood memories with my grandmother and to share them with my beloved. We went back to the place where we used to spend our summer vacations, where I used to go to buy ice creams and I saw again the market where we used to go almost daily to shop.
Although these moments are always too short, the wait was definitely worth it. I left with a heavy heart but a fresh complexion and new memories in my head.
