ENGLISH VERSION :
Dear friends, on this new weekend, I am back with an article that I had hoped to publish last year but being abroad for a shoot, I unfortunately didn’t have the time to concoct a post for this so charming holiday that we commonly call Valentine’s Day.
In 2020, I talked about love and self-acceptance in my special Valentine’s Day article. And although a lot has changed in my love life lately, I must admit that my perception of this day has not really changed.
Indeed, if for some people February 14th comes systematically with its lot of bouquets of roses bought in a hurry and gifts of all kinds, it is for me the occasion to eat well and to spend a particular moment with the one who occupies my thoughts.
And although being in love hasn’t changed my mind on the subject of Valentine’s Day, I have nevertheless been seduced by Galentine’s Day which, I think, is a great way to enjoy this day in your own way and to make it something special, which is like YOU.
If you didn’t know the principle, Galentine’s Day – which is a contraction of “gal” (girl) and “Valentine’s Day” – is a day that allows you to spend time with your friends, girlfriends or whoever you want and thus get out of the quagmire of pseudo-romantic evenings organized in a hurry in a crowded restaurant booked at the last minute.
If after this article, you are still not convinced, then don’t force yourself. Because in my opinion, the most important thing is to love yourself and to feel good about yourself. You are enough, you are sufficient, you don’t need a soul mate or a better half to be complete and believe me, I learned it the hard way, before loving anyone, start by making room for yourself before leaving room for someone else.
